Gold Nanoparticles

Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are spherical nanoparticles of elemental gold. Their surface can be functionalised with molecules, polymers and biological recognition elements, which makes them suitable for a wide range of applications. They are used as catalysts, in photodynamic therapy, in colorimetric sensors for food safety testing, in biological imaging, and in the detection of biomarkers for cancer, infectious agents and cardiovascular disease. Gold nanoparticles are part of our gold nanostructures product range.
